Ortho correction

I make them blink, you watch them think

After being around animals and especially horses most of my life I have had a keen interest in their health and well being. I have been involved in most aspects of horses from a pony club and event rider through to the breeding and racing industry and everything between.

Having trained in animal homeopathy I decided to expand my knowledge further to include learning more about the mechanics of how the muscles, tendons and bones perform which led me on my quest with learning about ortho bionomy which I studied both In New Zealand and Australia.

I have worked on horses and dogs for the past 6 years and had some wonderful successes. Some of these include race horses that have been deemed to be on their last legs going out and  winning GP1 and cup races after only a few sessions and old dogs barely able to walk becoming like puppies again.

There have been more animals than I can count that have had 'behavioural problems', that in fact have merely been out of alignment and have reverted back to being happy animals after a few sessions.

I would love to help your 'friend' to bring their body back into balance and make you both part of my story.

I'll make them blink, you watch them think.

This is about bringing the body back into balance one move at a time.

Bringing his body back into balance

Ortho bionomy or ortho correction  is gentle, non invasive therapeutic bodywork, which is based on the principle that body alignment has a positive influence on physical and emotional disorders.

Background

Ortho-bionomy was developed in the 1970s by a Britsh Osteopath by the name of Dr. Arthur Lincoln Pauls, who was also an accomplished martial artist. Dr Pauls recognised the principles of osteopathy which state the proper functioning of the body is related to its skeletal alignment , it's correct circulation of the blood and lymph being crucial to health. He also recognised that the body contains mechanisms that can be triggered to correct imbalances.  Dr. Pauls discovered a system of healing that was gentle, non-invasive, and that worked with the body's natural ways, instead of other methods of rather using forceful methods to manipulate problems back to 'normal'.

After reading a paper by American osteopath, Lawrence Jones on a what he called "Spontaneous Release Through Positioning" where he claimed  that muscle spasms and injuries could be treated by the gentle repositioning of the part of the body that was suffering it further influenced Dr Pauls thinking and lead to this new method of helping the body to heal with gentle and comfortable repositioning of the area into its proper alignment.  This in turn encourages the muscles to self-correct, releasing tension and trauma while re-educating the body's memory of the pre injury state, and speeding the healing process and allowing the body to self-correct.

The animal lets you know how he is tracking with the therapy. He will often start blinking just before the release happens as he is thinking and processing the move. I'll make them blink, you watch them think.

The Benefits of having

Ortho- correction

- reduce stress

- to alleviate chronic pain associated with injuries, muscle and joint problems and arthritis

-  improve posture and skeletal alignment.

- increase circulation

-increase relaxation

- enhance rehabilitative injuries

- relieve knotted muscles

- may be used to relieve cramps, back pain, sore muscles, and headaches

I have used Ortho- correction on newborns, the elderly animals, and those in post-operative conditions and is safe to do so.

It is equally important for all horses, working and agility dogs as they are athletes and it has been used to may improve performances and recovery times.

There are no reported side effects of Ortho- correction because the therapy is gentle, painless, non-invasive and drug free.
